The Digi Salon is an international exhibition of digital creativity co-hosted by MUTEK.JP and UltraSuperNew Gallery. The exhibit will feature innovative projects at the intersection of technology, art and music. In addition, several artist talks, live music events, and panel discussions will be held throughout the exhibition period to explore the creative interpretation of new technologies.

Digi Salon will also feature an installation and collection of prints called ‘dyebirth,’ designed and constructed by artist collective, nor. ‘dyebirth’ explores organic patterns through a controlled variable involving digital computations. Inspired by the works of Ilya Prigogine, a Belgium physicist, who proposed a theory called ‘dissipative structure,’ a concept that theorizes life as an exchange between energy and matters within its surrounding. The installation visualizes the concept by using ink droplets and digitally controlled variables to express the complex idea diversity in life. The installation will be complimented with a DJ mix produced by Yui Onodera & Robert Lippok.

We cordially invite you to join us in the ambitious explorations in the field of art, music, and technology.
